Gratitude Dojo Emails
Twelve Days of Gratitude Practices in your Inbox
How can we make being grateful more of a daily practice? Dojo is the Japanese term for a hall or space for immersive learning or training, typically for martial arts or meditation. Train yourself to better recognize (“re-cognize,” i.e., to understand again) all the blessings in your life. Seeing the Gift changes your inner experience of the world. As you interact differently with the world, the world will change, too.
The Gratitude Dojo is a free twelve-day program, sent to your email box each morning. For twelve days, you’ll get a different research-based and heart-centered exercise emailed to you to help you recognize (re-cognize) all the good there is in your life, even in times of insecurity and instability. Each exercise could take you as little as 2 minutes or the whole day, as you like. Here they are, in no particular order:
Send One Your Love. Write a postcard to someone who’s made a big difference in your life.
The Wind Beneath Your Wings. Recognize the blessings of modern life that you take for granted.
Thank the Ancestors. Remember those whose choices and sacrifices brought you here today.
Money, Money. Be thankful for the money that comes into your life and what it brings.
Yum, Thanks! Savor the food that nourishes you.
Who Loves Ya? Take a moment and feel the love others have for you.
Forgiveness. Is there a past hurt you want to let go of?
Happy In Spite Of. Are you “happy if only” or “happy in spite of”?
This Magic Moment. What’s beautiful about right here, right now?
Your Body Is a Wonderland. Meditate on the amazing things your body does for you.
Wheel of Life. Savor everything that’s going well in 8 different facets of your life.
Mirror, Mirror. You may think affirmations are New Age. But they aren’t.
The Gratitude Dojo can be a live event in your workplace or conference or a collective virtual course for remote workers or communities. See this page here.
